Delicate Arch - Arches National Park
This is, I suppose, "THE" shot from Arches. On this particular late-winter day a snow storm surrounded the LaSalle Mountains, which obscured them but made for a nice backdrop for the arch. The conventional wisdom is to take the sunset shot of the arch, with the soft evening light giving the red glow to the rocks. It works. While I enjoy this photo, and while it is true that Delicate Arch is "easier" to photograph in the evening, it is also a very crowded time to visit as hordes of photographers like myself wait around for the perfect light. For a better experience, visit delicate arch at dawn. Back to Photography - Site Home
