Badlands Rock - Badlands National Park
Something that interests me in parks like Badlands is the texture that makes up the rock formations you see. The way surfaces reflect light create a depth of color that amazes visitors. With this marco photo I was trying to capture both a close up of a colorful, weathered, but not atypical rock, while also showing the landscape beyond with its brilliant coloring that results from these surfaces.
